The 15ο International Film Festival of Larissa Artfools It is with pleasure that it announces the holding of its central event that will take place October 30 to November 5, 2023 In Larissa. The screenings, parallel activities and workshops will take place at Victoria Film Festival and in French Institute of Larissa.
For the past 15 years, the International Film Festival of Larissa has been organized with the full support of the Thessaly Region and the auspices of the Ministry of Culture. The Festival thanks the French Institute of Larissa, the Greek Film Center, ECOMΕ, the Peloponnese Documentary Festival, and the Larissa Cultural Center for their support. After the disaster and the major disasters we have experienced in Thessaly in recent times, the Festival deemed it necessary to incorporate the great theme of the environment into its program for the second year in a row. Climate Change as one of the Central devotions During the dedications, documentaries will be screened that raise awareness about the global threat of the environmental crisis.
Discussions have been scheduled and scientists, ecologists, animal welfare organizations, and journalists who covered these disasters have been invited, as well as individuals who played a role in the days of the flood, either as rescuers or as volunteers, to present their views and experiences.
The environmental crisis that so violently manifested itself in our country, at the cost of human lives, the destruction of property and crops, changed the daily lives of thousands of people. Cinema is an important medium for presenting timely issues that concern our time. Directors, writers, and artists with the irresistible weapon of the image are at the forefront of informing and sensitizing the public in a way that is accessible and understandable to all.

The remaining program as it stands includes dedications such as, «Artificial intelligence in cinema», «Literature in cinema and the small screen», A multifaceted and timely issue, especially with television series, Experiential workshop on inclusive film education, addressed primarily to educators, Animation Workshop «From the idea to the film», Laboratory «The language of cinema» and Photography Laboratory.
